Daily Care & Cleaning

A few quick habits will prolong the life of your strings and hardware:

• Wipe Down the Strings: Use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe moisture and oils off the strings after every practice session. This prevents rust.
• Clean the Fretboard: When changing strings, clean fretboard dirt with standard lemon oil (on unfinished rosewood/ebony only).
• Wash Your Hands: Always wash your hands before playing to minimize string contamination.

Humidity & Storage

Wood responds strongly to air temperature and humidity:

Keep acoustic guitars in environments between **40% and 50% relative humidity**. Low humidity causes wood to shrink, leading to fret buzzing, neck cracks, and sinking tops. Keep your instrument in a hard-shell case with an instrument humidifier during dry winter months.
