Finger Position Chart

Position your fingers on the virtual fretboard or a physical guitar as follows:

• Index Finger: 2nd Fret, D String (4th string)
• Middle Finger: 2nd Fret, G String (3rd string)
• Ring Finger: 2nd Fret, B String (2nd string)
• Open Strings: A (5th string) & High E (1st string)
• Muted String: Low E String (6th string - do not play)

Strumming across 5 strings (muting Low E) gives the chord its clean and resonant major character. Compare this with A Minor, which changes the C# to a C natural note.
